Kindergarten, first, and second grade students are invited to join the "Fun Run" on Monday and Thursday mornings for extra exercise before the school day begins.  Mr. Lally and Mrs. Martin will take students from the multipurpose room to the track around the playground.  They will escort students back to the classroom when it is time to start our instruction.  (Weather permitting)

What are We Learning This Week?:

Math--Topic 2 Envisions (Please review the daily flyers each afternoon.  These will serve as our study guide in preparation for our next math assessment.)  We will be adding and subtracting within 100 to solve a variety of problems.

ELA--In reading this week, we will be finishing David's New Friend and starting Family Farm.  I encourage parents to read these stories with your student at home during the week and answer/ discuss the questions at the end of each story in the Treasures Textbook. Our ELA skills also include Author’s Purpose, Long I, Homophones and Narrative Writing.

Unit of Study--We will continue to study Matter! Ask your student to identify types of matter around you.  For example: milk is a liquid, steam is a gas, a table is a solid. See how many objects you can classify in your kitchen! We will have a matter celebration Friday and discuss the properties of slime!
